LAS VEGAS INTERNATIONAL CHESS FESTIVAL

One big benefit of playing in these big chess tournaments is you meet many people from around the United States and in this particular tournament from around the world. Paul Bumblauskas is a good friend that I met three years ago in this same tournament he's from Georgia. Here we are sitting in at Tim Justs "TOURNAMENT DIRECTORS RULEBOOK TACTICS".

LAS VEGAS INTERNATIONAL CHESS FESTIVAL

GM. Ron Henley had two lectures and also offered analysis of your games during the tournament. I missed none of these opportunities. I quickly realised that he has great skill to teach large groups of chess players and convey his ideas clearly.

G45 TOURNAMENT BEGINS

Hemet Chess Club is having a chess tounament with G/45 time controls (4 rounds total)
This is a two day tournament with two round each. Dates are 4/10/11 and 4/17/11
Rounds start at 5pm

Monday, March 28, 2011

Is there HCC Rated Tournaments with more time?

Absolutely, We can set greater time controls to meet players comfort zones. The only reason we use G/30 is to complete the whole event within a short period time, But we have options to have a month long/ weekly pairing of greater time examples:(G60/G90/G120 with 5 second delay).
If interested please talk to me about this type of tournament and I'll get the rounds started.

Thanks
Marcos SR.

Yours Truly

"I am smiling", Because I'm playing this wonderful game of Chess. Well I've been a member of the Hemet Chess Club since 2004 and now heavily involved with the clubs responsibility for improving our Hemet Chess Club. I became a Certified Tournament Director for the USCF so we can have rated games here in Hemet. My biggest milestone is the addition of the Scholastic Hemet Chess Club which meets on Friday's at the Valley-Wide in San Jacinto. This chess class is for girls and boys 5-17 years old. I've been teaching this class for 2 years. HCC memberships have been steady and we already started the new year with a spectacular club challenge.
